The Great Maine Woods.

The Evergreen Valley Musical.

My conception of an Evergreen Valley musical is very much alive and well. It resides in the real world and in my heart. All I need to do is capture the present and set it down on paper with musical notes and words. The plot will more or less take care of itself. It more or less exists already and is sometimes played out in reality. The background to the plot consists of a diverse array of characters. Some of these are fictional and some are very real to too much of an extent. Let me introduce a few.

NOTE: THE FOLLOWING THREE LINKS ARE ABSENT! THEY WILL NOT WORK!

The protagonist and possibly the hero. He must appeal to the audience. Possible his arias will be in the tenor voice. He is described in the page linked here.

The antagonist or villain (and hopefully a hero in the end). With this character we really get rolling with the divisive structure of our society. It is a wonder that we cooperate at all. Perhaps I lean too much toward a society with severe class stratification. Oh, well, it is one of the issues of our present day and of eternity. It never seems to go away. The page linked here describes our baritone.

The artist, poet, playright, or religious mystic. This character is still under conception. He or she represents another initiative for the resort. He or she wants initially to build a peace camp or campus - a place for the creative pursuits and for creative interaction between diverse interests.
